I returned to the Global Game Jam Groningen --> this time going solo. In just 48 hours, I created a small game that's personal to me: Inspired by memories and experiences and fairy tales like 'Little Red Riding Hood', this short experience invites you to wander, observe, and uncover the quiet truths waiting between the lines.
Why the name, Albtraumfänger? In English and Dutch, the word nightmare is treated as the opposite of dream, but the original word for dream disappears entirely. In German, however, the word Traum (dream) is still present inside Albtraum. The prefix Alb refers to an evil spirit, goblin, etc. an image that connects directly to the monster in the game.
Trivia: #2 in the Directed Aesthetics category #3 in the Game of Show category
