What happens when orchestral music meets Virtual Reality?
Het Kamerorkest van het Noorden, in collaboration with Happy Ship and Robin Brouwer, explored this fusion by combining a live string sextet with an immersive VR experience, highlighting the delicate relationship between humanity and nature.
Developed in Unity and running on Pico 3, the project aimed to create visually engaging yet unobtrusive environments, ensuring the music remained the focal point. Guests would enter the room with the VR headset on and camera passthrough, sat down, and from that moment the space evolved into the virtual world.
As product manager and lead developer, I contributed to concept development, VR setup, and environmental design, including 3D modeling and texturing.
