I was working on a scene for the upcoming Street Performance project when I realized interesting shapes by combining some of the objects and so this mini-series came into existence... One of my teachers suggested to try rendering with ambient occlusion, which can be seen in the second image. Furthermore I experimented with various different settings (lighting, shadows,..) and I really like the results. I am currently busy with working for the Street Performance Project in Groningen. It is a cross-arts project in which students from master programmes of the Frank Mohr institution (MADTech students) and Prince Claus Conservatoire collaborate (NAIP students).
The project is aiming to create a vibrant festival of performances and installations within a specific social context, engaging with the local community and using their associated public and private space as a performance stage. The Festival will take place from 10. May till 13. May at the Praediniussingel. One work, I am working on involves PVC pipes that will be used as an instrument. Specifically, I am working on the digital visual part. The visuals are reacting to the sounds made on the instrument. Down below are some images from the prototype: The animation 'Animus per Machina' is finished. It was received positively at the feedback sessions within the Master programme but it still needs some fine-tuning in some of the scenes and editing.
